I love challenges - my husband says they are an excuse to avoid the "real scrapbooking" but that's just not true. Those challenges push me out of my box and I try things I might not ever try. And sometimes the results are a little iffy and sometimes the results are awesome.
This weekend I came across a number of challenges and layouts that were focused on using one color. Sometimes you could use neutrals and sometimes not. But those challenges and layouts inspired me to try. I allowed neutrals and chose one color to use in my layout - aqua. After seeing the Moxie Fab trigger, I knew I wanted to use aqua. I even used a black and white picture so I was truly focused on the challenge of using one color.
And I ended up with one of my all time favorite layouts.
I might frame this one - it reminds me of Walnut Beach, growing up and quiet, peaceful mornings. And I used some of that feather wood veneer and loved it (who knew?). Try a one color layout - it is a great way to stretch yourself. Have a great Tuesday.
